Everyone has their own unique narrative, and each has a purpose. It reflects where we've been, where we are today and where we desire to go. Most importantly, the best stories move and inspire people to action and compel them to share that story with others.
For 25 years, I've had the opportunity to work alongside
incredible people and organizations — executives and
entrepreneurs, community leaders and non-profit innovators, humanitarian workers and refugees. My job, quite simply, has been to help them find and share their stories.
While my titles and positions have changed over the years as my roles shifted within the realms of journalism, government affairs, marketing, public relations and communications, the writer has always taken the lead. And it remains at the core of all of the services you’ll find here at Kairos.
what we do
During the course of my career, I've had the opportunity to develop a diverse set of skills in both communications and marketing. In academia, I've served a premier research institute in the US, translating scientific innovation into marketing opportunities for research dollars. In the corporate arena, I've directed internal and external communication - including critical incident response, rebranding and media relations. My clients cover several sectors, including health care, risk & safety, public transportation, a variety of federal agencies and global technical services.
As an entrepreneur myself, some of my most meaningful work comes in partnership with small-business owners and non-profits, where I devote much of those early days getting to know them and their purpose and goals. Together, we develop strategic marketing and communication plans, branding campaigns and scaleable public relations. Many non-profits often lack the expertise or the resources to chart out and manage their messaging. I've had the tremendous honor to work alongside this special set of tenacious game-changers to create "starter kits" for basic communication tools, outreach and volunteer recruitment.
